We are in the midst of an unprecedented situation and at ITC Hotels, the safety and well-being of our guests and associates remain our top priority.

 

Our hearts and thoughts go out to all those who have been impacted by the current situation, either directly or indirectly, and we are truly inspired by all those who are working tirelessly at the forefront looking after people in need.

 

We are monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak closely, collecting all the relevant information from government and medical authorities, adhering to protocols from subject matter experts and are in touch with the concerns shared by our guests.

 

Here are a few important updates that we would like to share with you:

 

ITC Hotels launches WeAssure – A first of its kind health, hygiene & safety initiative

 

Reinforcing its globally acknowledged Responsible Luxury ethos, ITC Hotels announces the launch of its WeAssure initiative in collaboration with medical professionals and disinfection experts to further enhance the existing hygiene & cleaning protocols across all ITC Hotels. The programme is also designed to address the wellbeing of all ITC Hotels associates and their safety.

 

Benchmarking Clinically Clean Standards

ITC Hotels is working towards an accreditation process by National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) to enhance existing procedures and controls, thereby conforming to hospital-level hygiene standards.

 

NABH is one of the leading standards organisation for sanitation, hygiene, safety, and infection control practices.The programme specifications are a reassurance of visibly stringent cleanliness and disinfection processes that benchmark clinically clean standards. Leveraging the expertise of domain champions, the programme allows you to enjoy unparalleled experiences without compromising on quality.

 

Certified Global Standards

DNV GL Business Assurance, one of the world’s leading certification bodies that helps businesses assure the performance of their organisation, is evaluating a model built around the three pillars of - Health, Hygiene, and Safety, which will help ITC Hotels achieve higher levels of maturity around all facets of operations.

 

WeAssure’ is a holistic programme that addresses all facets of hotel operations. From revised protocols for heart-of-the-house activities at the receiving store, back offices, laundry, to the public areas with heightened sanitisation measures for guest luggage, elevators and room service.

 

Acclaimed Expertise In Disinfection & Hygiene

ITC Hotels in partnership with Savlon integrates Savlon’s trusted know-how in germ protection towards bringing thought leadership in the WeAssure programme.

 

From the House of ITC, Savlon has been one of the trusted hygiene brands in homes and hospitals, gaining repute for effective sanitisation and gentle action on the skin.

 

Key highlights of the initiative are:

 

1. Specially curated training & e-learning programmes for associates: Conduct & Precautions for Personal, Social & Workplaces.

 

2. Re-engineered guest experiences with zero contact/ minimal associate engagements.

 

3. Sanitised cutlery, crockery & tableware supported with digital ordering & e-payment solutions.

 

4. Advanced & stringent deep-cleaning protocols & sanitised rooms.

 

5. Remodelled hotel layout to support safe distancing.

 

6. State-of-the-art technology such as UV sanitisation, ozonisers, ISO 22000 certified facilities with microbiology lab, advanced disinfectants for long-lasting protection, and more.

Hotels & Services:

 

As directed by Government authorities, and supporting the Work From Home guidelines, many of our essential operations are at the minimum staffing level. Accordingly, we are temporarily not accepting new reservations at select hotels and have also curtailed some services at hotels that are currently operating. We regret the inconvenience caused.

Flexibility in your travel

 

We understand that in the current environment, travel plans could be subject to change at the last minute and in recognition of this, we have modified our cancellation policies as below:

 

1. For guests with existing reservations for any future arrival date, including reservations with pre-paid rates, we will allow full changes or cancellation without a charge up to 24 hours prior to arrival, as long as the change or cancellation is made by 30th June, 2020.  Please note that any changes to existing reservations will be subject to availability and any rate differences.

 

2. For guests making new reservations for any future arrival date, including reservations with pre-paid rates, between 17th March, 2020 and 30th June, 2020, we will allow the reservation to be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival date. Please note that changes to the reservation will be subject to availability and any rate differences.

 

3. Guests who booked via online travel agents or other third-party travel professionals are advised to contact their booking provider for information on their policies.

 

4. For changes in Group Bookings, we will interact closely with our guests, to manage the changes on a case by case basis. Our hotels are actively cooperating with our guests to address the needs of each group, including moving events to a later date.

 

5. For individual reservations booked into a pre-existing group block, please refer to cancellation terms quoted at the time of reservation. For more information, please contact the group organiser or the hotel.

 

Your Club ITC Green Points and membership status

 

We recognise that your travel plans could be affected by the prevailing environment. Keeping this in mind, we are pausing the expiration of all Club ITC Green Points scheduled to expire between 17th March, 2020 and 31th October, 2020. Further, the current membership status will remain extended until 31st December 2020.
